4" African Mask
The African Mask (Alocasia Amazonica Polly) is a gorgeous plant with unique dark green leaves and deep silver-white veins. The stunning leaves can get quite large and grow up to 12" in length.
Light: Keep in well lit, bright area but out of direct sun. Avoid direct sun as it can burn the leaves.
Water: Keep the soil moist with warm water. Do not allow the soil to dry out. A little water more frequently is a good method.
Humidity: Likes a moist environment with above average humidity. Stand on a pebble tray to improve humidity and mist frequently. Pop it in the shower for a while to give it an occasional boost.
Mature Size: 12-24". Alocasia are fast growing in the right conditions.
Toxicity: These plants are harmful if eaten and are a skin and eye irritant. Keep out of reach of children and animals.
Alocasia have a dormant period where leaves will fade and die so do not be alarmed when this happens. During this period, the plants will require less water, so simply moisten the soil from time to time.
